Kelly was the first girl I met at WSU and became one of my best friends. Kelly had the most amazing spirit and was a truly amazing and beautiful person. When I heard the news, for several days I told myself that is was incorrect and that someone had made a mistake in passing the information. When I heard from Carol Henderson, Kelly's WSU roommate that it was in fact a reality, I was amazed someone so full of life and goodwill could be gone so fast. To this day I think of her spirit, tenacity and kindness, and I know that will never fade as long as I have memories of her and the time I was lucky enough to share with such a great human being. God bless her friends and family.

Kelly was an active member of our support group at James Hospital. We could always count on her sense of humor, as well as the dignified manner in which she handled her illness. She will be remembered fondly. We would also like to thank the Clark family for their kindness.

May Kelly's memory and especially her energy not fade as we pass her first anniversary. Her family will forever be in our prayers and thoughts. Kelly passed this way for a special purpose and now we know why. Kelly's Place lives!

The Schuermann's

I studied acting with Kelly at Wright State University. My memories of her all involve us both doubled over with laughter. After I left Wright State, I kept in touch with a number of folks but somehow lost touch with Kelly. I would, however, hear stories about how well she was doing with her career. That was no surprise. Her talent was like a clear, bright light shining out of her eyes. I just couldn't WAIT to track her down one day and catch up on every little thing. When I went to New York this summer to visit some of our mutual friends, I asked about her. When Mike Capone and Andrew Pearson told me she was gone...I felt like the ground sank about three inches. It seemed so ridiculous! How could it be? We still hadn't had a chance to laugh together about the silly things we pulled when we were just kids, for Heaven's sake! And now here we are...grownups, and her gone. In a way, it seems like Kelly has simply blazed a path to the other side which soon enough, we'll all follow. I have no clear picture of life after death, but if it's a just place, I hope to find myself sitting next to Kelly at Tooty's bar, right off campus, and raising a glass to the good times we all shared. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts of Kelly and for keeping her memory alive with this wonderful work.

Take care, Tamara

It's been almost 3 1/2 years since Kelly has been gone and I still think you her often. Whenever I am in Cincinnati I stop by to see her and talk. I have very fond memories of Kelly and working with her was a blast. She made us laugh us everyday. She was truely a good friend. Kelly loved life and made the most of it. She was great with my boys and they still talk about her. I am sorry I was not able to attend the 1st Kelly Classic and unfortunately will not be able to attend this year either due to a work conflict. I am happy to see that Kelly's Place is up and running and progress is being made on a permanent facility. The Clark family is still in our thoughts and prayers.
